That’s a wrap

It seems surreal but 2008 is almost over and what a year it has been. I started the year contemplating the best way to leave a dying relationship and am ending it 1,800 miles away, engaged to my soulmate.

There have definitely been massive changes and major improvements in my life. I have only one major regret and that’s that I did not document things better. There are many posts that were deleted either immediately after they were written or in several  fits of censoring panic. So much went on, not just externally but mentally as well, that I have no record of.  Filler posts and pictures trigger memories of what I couldn’t or wouldn’t post but the timing and specifics are often hazy. That vagueness is truly a boon for most of those recollections but in the (much brighter) future, I would like to have a more concrete record of our life. Will it be kept here? Probably not completly. This is not the safe, fairly anonymous haven it once was.  So while I’ll still be posting to share the laughter and general stories, the more personal musings and occasional ventings won’t appear. You’re welcome.

I was going to list my favorite post from each month this year but meh…doesn’t everyone do that? And who actually goes through and reads every link? There are a few I wrote this year that captured the momentous changes:

The beginning

The acceptance

The summary

The resolution/new beginning

Happy New Year all! May your 2008 end with a smile and 2009 start with a laugh.
